For gyms, personal trainers and members

Training that adjusts to the person doing it.

loadwise starts with a health screen and a short assessment, recommends a programme, then changes the reps and weights from what each person actually logs. Coaches get the calendar, messages, groups and reports to run it all in one place.

Pilot places are open to gyms, coaches and individual members in the UK.

See it in action

A week with loadwise, in under a minute.

Stronger over time

Progress you can see, week after week.

Every logged set feeds the next session, so the plan keeps pace with the person following it, whether that is a first-week member or a runner building toward race day.

Brand imagery. The people shown are illustrations, not customers.

Who it is for

One app, three ways to use it.

Gyms offer it to members, coaches run their clients on it, and anyone can use it on their own.

Gyms

Give every new member a proper start and a plan that keeps pace with them.

  • Onboarding assessment that turns goals and fitness level into a recommended programme
  • Programmes built from templates your coaches approve
  • Groups and squads side by side, with group sessions and attendance
  • Challenges, streaks and milestones that keep members coming back
  • Progress reports with your logo, saved as a PDF

loadwise sits alongside your booking, access and billing systems. It does not replace them.

Personal trainers

Spend your time coaching, not rebuilding spreadsheets every week.

  • Programme builder with rounds and supersets, assigned in a few taps
  • A "needs attention" list: pain, low readiness, load spikes, missed sessions and stalled lifts
  • Weight and rep suggestions from every logged set, which you can override
  • A calendar with working hours and time off. Book a session and your client gets a calendar invite
  • Messages, check-ins and private coach notes

Payments for coaching are planned for a later release.

Members

Know what to lift today and why, whether or not you have a coach.

  • Health screen and starting assessment
  • Recommended programme for your goal, kit and available days
  • Workout player with exercise videos and form cues, that works with no signal
  • A weekly plan that works around matches, exams and busy days, with reminders
  • Progress charts, strength records, streaks and a check-in every six weeks

Features

Everything a coach and their clients need, in one app.

Built for the gym floor: big buttons, one tap per set, and nothing lost when the signal drops.

Workout player

Sets, rest timers and timed holds, one tap at a time. It works with no signal and saves everything as soon as it's back.

Train together, live

A PT logs the session on a tablet and the client's phone updates as it happens, set by set.

Progression that explains itself

Every logged set shapes the next session's weights and reps, with the reason shown. Under-18s get smaller jumps and coach approval.

A pain check, not just a button

Tap "It hurt" for a few quick questions: carry on lighter, skip the exercise or stop. The coach is told, straight away if it's serious.

Readiness and training load

A ten-second check before each session, and a warning when someone's training load jumps well above their usual week.

Calendar and bookings

Set your hours and time off, book sessions from free time, and clients get a calendar invite with reminders. See when your week is filling up and when you have room for new clients.

Messages and check-ins

Chat with clients, send quick check-ins about training, sleep and stress, and get an email when something needs you.

Progress and reports

Charts, estimated strength records with no max testing, body measurements, check-in results, and progress reports saved as a PDF.

Groups, challenges and streaks

Squads side by side, group sessions with attendance, challenges with privacy-safe leaderboards, and weekly streaks that never punish a rest day.

How it works

From first login to the next heavier set.

The same five steps for a gym member, a coached client or someone training alone.

  1. Screen

A short health questionnaire comes first. If an answer needs a professional opinion, loadwise pauses and points to a GP or coach before any plan is made.

  2. Assess

Goals, training history, injuries, kit, available days and a few simple baseline tests.

  3. Recommend

A starting programme chosen from approved templates, with the reasons shown. A coach can swap it.

  4. Train and log

A workout player records every set, with an optional effort rating, and a quick readiness check before the session.

  5. Adjust

The next session reflects the last one. Every few weeks a re-assessment checks the plan still fits the person.

Progression

Simple rules first, effort ratings once they help.

Suggestions come from clear rules you can read and a coach can overrule. Nothing is a black box.

Reps first

Each exercise has a rep range, for example 8 to 12. Reach the top of the range on every set and the weight goes up. Fall short and the weight stays while you build reps.

Effort ratings come in after a few weeks

New lifters begin on reps alone. Once they are comfortable judging how many reps they had left, effort ratings (RPE and reps in reserve) refine the suggestion, so a set that was a grind does not trigger an increase.

Extra care for young athletes

Under-18s get smaller jumps, no one-rep-max testing and coach approval for changes.

Privacy and young people

Health data handled with care.

loadwise is built for UK data protection law from the start, including the ICO Children's Code.

Only the right people see it

A client's record is held by their gym or coach, and only the coaches assigned to that client can open it. People training on their own keep a private record of their own.

Separate consent for health data

Health information needs its own explicit, unticked consent, and every consent records the exact version of the policy that was agreed to.

A record of every change

An audit log records who changed a client's record and when, so access can always be checked.

Rules for under-18s

Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to give consent through an emailed link before any training data is stored, and the parent can withdraw it later. Under-18s never appear by name on leaderboards, and reminders stay off unless they turn them on. Under-13s are off unless a gym or coach turns them on.

Export and delete

Members can download a copy of everything held about them at any time and ask for their account to be deleted.

No advertising trackers

No ad or analytics SDKs run on client data. Hosting is in the UK or EU.
